The MARLESS project from the environmental protection sector aims to improve the quality conditions of the marine environment and the coastal area by applying sustainable and innovative technologies and solutions for marine waste management and reduction.

“Smart and Slow Tourism Supporting Adriatic Heritage for Tomorrow” (TAKE IT SLOW) is a strategic tourism project under the Italy – Croatia Cross Border Cooperation Programme. The project is designed to manage and promote the Adriatic Region as a green, smart, sustainable, accessible and slow cross-border tourist destination.

The development of sustainable and responsible all-year-round tourism on the Mediterranean islands while preserving and valorizing cultural and natural heritage is the main goal of the WINTER MED project. The project will address the main challenges related to the sustainability of maritime and coastal tourism, which is the reduction of extremely high tourist seasonality.

BLUEfasma integrates and implements Circular Economy(CE) principles in the key blue growth sector of fishing/aquaculture to benefit MED insular/coastal areas in a novel/innovative way. Project team tackles the transnational challenge of continual depletion of natural resources and the below-EU-average MED CE innovation performance in fishing/aquaculture.

Marine litter poses a global problem, not only through environmental negative impact but as a risk to human health in general with huge economic consequences. SeaClear project plans to develop the first system of autonomous aircraft, submarines and surface vessels to find and collect waste from the seabed and water column.
