Smart specialization strategies at regional and national levels are facing with challenges of the qualities of their implementation; how to adopt a systematic approach to monitoring based on real data in order to define key indicators of smart specialization implementation, thus the methodology of indicators’ definition.
MONITORIS3 main goal is to facilitate implementation of each strategy of smart specialization by knowledge and experience exchange. Specific activities and results of the project are mapping and analysing of strategies and the systems of monitoring mechanisms among project partners. They will act through specific work groups in order to improve smart specialization implementation by definition of indicators and methodology of systematic monitoring.
DUNEA participate in partnership with partners from Spain (Galician Innovation Agency - GAIN), Romania (Regional Development Agency of the West Region Romania – WRDA), Portugal (Norte Regional Coordination and Development Commission, National Innovation Agency), Italy (Veneto Region – Research and Innovation Section) and Norway (Nordland County Council). Within Dubrovnik and Neretva Region, DUNEA will concentrate its activities around organization and management of Centre for competences for citruses.

Total project budget is € 1.395.103,00 , where 85 % of the budget is provided by European Regional Development Fund, and it amounts € 1.176.593,00.
