Project description:
The Information Center “Europe Direct of Dubrovnik-Neretva County” is a project carried out by the Regional Development Agency Dubrovnik-Neretva County - DUNEA, and it is a part of the European network of information centers and represents an extension of the European Commission and promotes its priorities.
Europe Direct of Dubrovnik-Neretva County will proactively and continuously work with citizens to expand the sense of responsibility for the European project, and will provide support in the immediate flow of information related to the opportunities and benefits available to citizens of EU member states.
By organizing activities with the aim of informing and involving citizens, it will enable them to actively, by participating in the European democratic process, make informed decisions about the future of the EU. It will also introduce them to the benefits they have from the EU in their daily lives. Involvement and informing of citizens is done through online channels, organization of various workshops, presentations in schools and events, and through dialogues. In 2021, the emphasis is on the EU priorities "European Green Plan" and "Europe ready for the digital age".
The Europe Direct Center of the Dubrovnik-Neretva County is in the city of Opuzen, and it started operating on May 1, 2021. Partners in the implementation of the center's activities are the Secondary Agricultural and Technical School in Opuzen and the Erasmus Student Network Dubrovnik (ESN).
The total value of the project for 2021 is 185,752.50 HRK, and the estimated duration of the project is the end of December 2021. A 56-month framework partnership agreement for Europe Direct has been signed with the European Commission, establishing a long-term cooperation (framework partnership) for the award of EU grants.
